If you choose to be unquestionably devoted to any political party you have chosen to be a slave.
The great Thomas Sowell opined, “The fact that so many successful politicians are such shameless liars is not only a reflection on them, it is also a reflection on us. When the people want the impossible, only liars can satisfy.” I am reminded of Sowell’s statement whenever I contemplate the irony of today’s Democratic Party advocating for the voting rights of black Americans.
White Democrats are not seeking voting rights to empower black Americans. They strive to maintain power for themselves, consistently exploiting black Americans toward that end.
It is an indisputable historical fact that the 1965 Voting Rights Act was necessary because the Democratic Party systematically stole elections for over 100 years. It is also a historical fact that in a 100-year reign of terror, Democrats used bribery, intimidation, torture, and murder against black Americans and poor whites to illegally maintain power.
White Democrat shamelessness and the treachery of what I call “The Iron Triangle” (most black politicians, black preachers, and black civic organizers) are on full display, when you come to realize that the same Democratic Party that burned black churches because they conducted meetings educating African Americans about their right to vote, now organize in black churches to deliver the vote for themselves. The same Democratic Party that whipped, murdered, and castrated black men because they attempted to vote or because they were Republican now uses street money to bribe and to deliver these black men to the polls because they are their most reliable voters.
The same Democratic Party that claims to be the black community’s benevolent savior has brought nothing to the ghettos they control but poverty, crime, mass incarceration, illiteracy, and death. The same Democratic Party that has been the most perpetually evil organization against black Americans on the face of the earth since its inception in 1800, now utilizes the black vote as the catalyst to remain the absolute master of black America.
What happened? Before the1965 Voting Rights Act, Democrats were beneficiaries of one the most preeminent surprises in history. The African Americans who suffered under their oppression for over 400 years identified entirely with their oppressor and voted over 80 percent for their Democratic Party masters. Suppose hate-filled white racist Democrats had been paying attention to the habits of black Americans rather than beating and killing them for sport. In that case, they may have noticed that most black Southerners loved them and therefore would never have voted against them. Black Southerners risked their lives to eat beside, go to school with, drink water with, and go to the bathroom with racist white Democrats who told them by word and deed that they hated them. Of course, if given the right to vote, black Southerners would vote for them.
Understandably, white Democrats believed that no sane black American would vote for them given their 400 years of sadistic mistreatment. Consequently, white Democrats did everything they could to block legislation that would give the federal government authority guaranteeing voting rights for Southern black Americans.
In his book Parting the Waters, Taylor Branch describes how Martin Luther King, Jr., told Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Vice President Richard Nixon that he and his father were Republicans and believed that most of the black people voting in the South would vote the Republican ticket if they could get voting rights legislation passed. Eisenhower and Nixon delivered, passing the 1957 and 1960 Civil Rights Acts. Imagine their surprise when the black community voted 80 percent for the party of their oppressor in the election of 1960, catapulting voting rights opponents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson into the White House.
This unwavering black love for their white Democrat masters has been a well-known phenomenon for centuries. Acknowledging this mysterious power in the inability to entice enslaved people to free themselves, Abraham Lincoln said in his Cooper Union Speech in 1858, “Much is said by Southern people about the affection of slaves for their masters and mistresses . . . A plot for an uprising could scarcely be devised and communicated to twenty individuals before someone of them to save the life of a favorite master or mistress divulge it.”
Bearing this statement in mind explains the mindset of most southern black Americans in the 1960s when they were finally free to vote but refused to start an alternative party to the Democrats. They held majorities in three Southern states and many counties and cities. Instead of making a real difference, however, they succumbed to their Stockholm Syndrome and joined the party of their oppressor, the white Democrats. Some black Democrats were so prolific in their treason white Democrats even allowed them to win political office as Democrats.
This new invention, “The Southern Black Democrat,” then set about organizing and corralling the black votes by oppressing their community for the benefit of their white masters. Jim Clyburn, a 30-year black Democrat congressman in one of the poorest districts in the nation, organized the black vote for Joe Biden in the South Carolina primary. Clyburn’s efforts in corralling black votes for Biden, a known racist, cementing the Democratic Party nomination for the presidency, is a modern-day example of this black Democrat “House Negro” mentality in which betraying one’s own people for his white Democrat master is called virtuous.
This black support has now become traditional in the black ghettos, with cognitive dissonance and tribalism overtaking Stockholm Syndrome as the mental affliction that keeps the African American shackled to an oppressive Democratic Party. The Iron Triangle are the black collaborators who benefit enormously from this mental stress.
Why did Republicans allow the Democrats to keep this monopoly in the South? Democrats murdered Republicans and lied to black Americans. Speaking of heinous devices contrived by this evil monopoly to manipulate the slave into voluntarily accepting enslavement, in 1858, again during his Cooper Union speech, Abraham Lincoln spoke of Democrat lies to black slaves regarding Republicans. He said, “The slaves would scarcely know there is a Republican party . . . but for your misrepresentations of us, in their hearing.”
These misrepresentations still exist. By 1960 the Republican Party in the South did not exist. This lack of political competition is fatal in a representative republic. With the assistance of black traitors, white Democrats have always maintained this political monopoly exclusively in the black community and nowhere else. This lack of competition in the black community was the foundation of white Democratic Party power during the era of black slavery in the past and it is the basis of black slavery in the present.
This mental hold white Democrats have consistently held over impoverished and oppressed black people is a sad phenomenon. Like an addict advocating for his pusher, these mistreated American citizens now march in the streets, advocating for a voting rights bill that will guarantee their masters’ ability to oppress them in perpetuity.
The worsening poverty, crime, fatherlessness, illiteracy, incarceration, envy, and unforgiveness plaguing the black American community since the civil rights movement is all the proof needed that the Democratic Party has been and still is an oppressive regime. It is also proof that when it comes to voting, Democratic interest in the black community is purely exploitative in the sense that black Democrats will be debased, and the white Democratic masters will be exalted. This is nothing new. It has always been thus.
If we want to talk about “wokeness,” let’s hope that the black community finally wakes up to the fact that because God gave us all free will, slavery is a choice, and if you choose to be unquestionably devoted to any political party you have chosen to be a slave. Wake up to that fact; refuse to be a puppet for people who obviously hold you in contempt. Shun the slavery of party politics. Have the courage to vote your values. And choose to be happy and live as a free American.
